What an exciting day of school we had today! The kids were so excited to share the posters they made at home. We had different counting and math activities throughout the day and we even wrote about what we would do if we had $100. It was a fun and energetic day in kindergarten.
This week was a week about hats. We learned about different kinds of hats. We also made our own hats and went on a hat parade around the other kindergarten rooms.
On Tuesday, we made dinosaur eggs by using paper mache and balloons. A special thank you to the parents who volunteered their time to come and get their hands messy with the paper mache. As I told them, these kids are busy making memories.
Throughout the week, we built a nest for our eggs and we read to them and took care of our dinosaur eggs. On Friday, our eggs hatched and we found out what kind of dinosaur was growing in the egg all week. A huge thank you to the parents who were able to come into the classroom on Tuesday to help us make the dinosaur eggs!! This week we learned about penguins. We talked about emperor, king, chinstrap, and rockhopper penguins. We also talked about the little blue penguin.
Due to the cold weather, school has been canceled for tomorrow January, 6th. Please stay warm and we will see you on Tuesday, January 7th.
